“Microgrids are the hot topic in the energy sector with solar and storage. It is expected to be one of the pillars of the future energy landscape. That future is not far away and we can already see trials and implementation today. In this event we will hear from AusNet Services and its technology partner Greensync about the latest ‘whole of street’ energy storage trial in Melbourne, and the work Monash University are doing with the ANU and the Australia-Indonesia Centre to implement microgrids in Indonesia.”
Hosted by the Australian Institute of Energy, Monash University’s MEMSI Deputy Director Ariel Liebman, Greensync’s Commercial Director David Anstee, and AusNet Services’ Distributed Energy and Innovation Manager Justin Harding will address the benefits of microgrids and mini-grids in projects from Mooroolbark all the way to the islands of Indonesia.
